Went to D.C. on the 23rd for April's pinning on the 24th. Had a great party after, danced with a 2 star, sang with his wife and generally had a great time. I do not believe I have seen that much brass in one place at the same time ever. There were several generals, multiple Col's, etc. I don't think I sat for more than 2 minutes all night. Saw the White House for the first time and went to the Navy Memorial where Uncle Stosh's picture is posted. That was pretty awesome. I ate oyster's on the half shell for the first time and have decided I like them quite a lot. I loved seeing all of the old buildings in old town Alexandria and just feeling the history of D.C. and the surrounding area. I will go to the Viet Nam memorial the next time I'm there for Uncle Chuck and to the WWII memorial for Dad/Grampa.
I really enjoyed seeing April and Kurt again. Robert flew in from Colorado so I got to spend time with him also. They are super and I don't see them often enough.
Ford, I am so pleased to hear you have less than 100 days left. Can't wait to see you again. I read and hear things about Iraq and wonder if it is you and your unit that is being referred to.
