While there is not much point in visiting this blog currently, I thought it would be worthwhile for a little Ford-man love math. (FMLM)

There are roughly 4,500 hits on this blog.
This blog has been up for roughly 10 months while Ford was abroad.

4,500 hits divided by 10 months = 450 hits a month

450 hits a month divided by 30 days a month = 15 hits a day

That is incredible.

What a morning

Reading Kate & ME's posts brings tears to my eyes. We were part of the lucky crowd that got up at 5.30am today (a Saturday :-)) to welcome Ford HOME! YEA!!!!!!!!!!! I feel very blessed to have him stationed at Ft Lewis and to get to share that with Kate & Blayne this morning. Thank you for breakfast too, Kate. What a wonderful day to have Ford safe and near now! We were all standing in the exact spot Ford's bus pulled up to (there were several buses) and we had no idea he was on that one. He stepped right off into all of our loving arms.

Aunt Shari, we (Tehya and I) just started writing cards for you when we got home from such a blessed event. We are so sorry for your loss of your Mom!
What a mixture of happy and sad life is.............
Tehya would not go to Uncle Ford....she told me on the way back in the car that she was scared of his black hat and all of his friends that got off the bus-she'll warm up again soon, Uncle Ford. Nine months is a long time in her world. Really looking forward to vacationing with you guys!

Tehya's Four!

Aunt Sheri, I am so sorry about your Mom. I will say prayers for her! Uncle Stosh, you & your surgery too.

Tehya was officially 4 years old yesterday. She wondered if since she is so much bigger now if her same clothes will still fit her. :-). She had a ball last night with my stepdad's 3 little kids and our neighbor girl, Harper. Pin the nose on the clown was the biggest hit. All the kids made Blayne spin them and did it at least 3 times each. Can't believe she's 4- my how time flys!!

Uncle Stosh

Uncle Stosh goes under the knife again 1/15/09 for the left shoulder. Please keep him in your thoughts also. This is a hard time because he needs to have this surgery done but would rather be with Sheri in Ohio. His surgeon is scheduled months out for surgeries so it's not an option to cancel. Anyway, just wanted you all to know what is happening in our world right now.

Early morning yesterday 1/12/09 Aunt Sheri's mom was helping her husband (he has been quite ill) up the stairs to their bedroom when Marty (husband) evidently fell and then Fran (Sheri's mom) fell also. Fran has sustained a catastrophic brain injury and the outlook is not good. She may not make it through this. We are devastated for Sheri and her family. Fran is an awesome woman. Please keep Aunt Sheri and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks Mom & Dad!

Special thanks to Mom and Dad who came out to take care of me while I was healing. In addition to cooking all my "meals" and bringing me medicine, they cooked, cleaned, hung pictures, picked up rugs, ran errands, bought groceries - you name it, they did it!!

Mom slept with me in case I woke up in the middle of the night in pain....which was often - so she got very little sleep - sorry mom.

Dad made awesome smoothies with fresh fruit to make sure I was eating right - good lookin' out Dad, sorry I was such a grump.

It's really awesome to have such commited and loving parents. This surgery was a little more intense than anyone realized and I know I could not have done it without thier support.

Thank you both for always making me first priority and taking the time that you do.

Regrettable Trends in Pop Culture: 2008 Edition
The Dreaded Heartthrob-With-Pornstache: History is full of comical facial hair: muttonchops, the soul patch, the Tuff Man. But at least those whiskers possessed a whisper of sex appeal.

We cannot say the same about the pornstache, which littered the lips this year of at least four of 2008's hottest hunks: Brad Pitt, Robert Downey Jr.,Orlando Bloom and Ford Lannan.

We would never advocate violence, but we can certainly understand if someone perpetuated a drive-by shaving. It's DEFCON 1 for the Mach 3.

Happy New Year!

Tehya and I were laying on the couch watching Shrek 2 last night and reminising about last New Years eve with Blayne....about her falling asleep with the party going on and then waking up to dance some more in her flower girl dress. It will be hard to ever come close to that New Years Eve. Congrats Ford & Kate! Thank you guys for Tehya's easel. She's loving it. Can't wait to see you, Ford!

So good to see you this week, Katie. Keep recovering quickly. ME- great to see you too. Thank you for the gingerbread house-Tehya and I will enjoy putting that together. I thank you all for making our Christmas so wonderful. We are truly blessed to be a part of this family. It was great to have Mauggie here (Tehya did start to try on all those clothes last night, Mauggie).

I wish you all a Happy New Year! It's Lexi's Birthday too today (2 years old), so Tehya and I are going to take her on an extra special walk now (I think the rain just let up :-)).
